You read the same paragraph of your Bible three times last week and couldn't tell anybody what it said.

You're not unhappy… You don't want anything anymore. And that frightens you more than being unhappy would.

A break sets you back down exactly where you were, only rested enough to keep going. We're not doing that.

Three days is enough. I know how that sounds, so let me tell you what actually fits inside them.

You get quiet enough to hear God whisper PURPOSE to your soul. Most of us can't answer that anymore… we can tell you what everybody else needs down to the detail, and go completely blank on ourselves.

You name where you settled. Not to shame anybody — every one of us settled somewhere, usually for a reason that made good sense at the time, and it just never got revisited.

You put down what can't come with you. Some of it you've carried so long you forgot it was ever optional.

You get an hour behind a closed door, with somebody trained, on the ONE thing that hasn't moved in years.

And you're met by God in the silence — and you leave with something to do about it. Not a feeling. A decision, said out loud, in front of witnesses.

Be still, and know that I am God. — Psalm 46:10, KJV

Three days. And then you go home carrying something you did not have on the way out.

Because I know what you're picturing, and it's probably wrong...

You're possibly picturing three days of not talking to anybody.

Awkard. Stuck in a room with strangers, watching the clock, hoping nobody asks you to share. That's why you've said no to things like this before, and I don't blame you.

Here's what it actually is.

Silence is held during the sits, the sessions, the meals, and the morning hours.

There are guided inner-healing and destiny sessions where you speak.

There are free hours that are entirely yours. You will not be silent for seventy-two hours, and nobody is going to make you share anything with anybody.

But you also won't be off by yourself trying to figure it out.

You go inward, in company. Sixteen other women doing the same work in the same hours, in the same house — and not one of them needing a thing from you.

And look at His reason: there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat. Too many people needing them. No room left even to eat.

You deserve sacred REST and renewal.

Three ways to go from here.

Stay where you are. If you're at rest, stay — I mean that. Not every season is a leaving season and I'd rather you sit this one out than come out there half in.

But staying isn't nothing. It costs a year. Next spring will look like this spring, and you already know what that feels like.

Do it yourself. Some women can. If you've got a place you can go where nobody can reach you, and three days you can actually protect, go. I'm not the only way to hear from God and I've never pretended to be.

And if you're thinking you'd just fly to Sedona on your own — you can. It's a tourist town. You'd be in line at the overlooks with everybody else, and you'd come home rested, which is not the same as changed.

Before you ever get on a plane, you and I get on the phone. Your seat's already yours by then — it's just an hour to tell me what you're carrying, so I know before you arrive.

You don't need it all figured out. You just have to be ready to choose.
